The second panel webinar is on a special topic driven by the Army’s increased interest in the role of women in land warfare operations and how that should reflect at least doctrinally. Retired Army colonel Mr. Bill Hestwood, G-5, U.S. Army Combined Arms Center will explain the Army’s look at FM 3-57 and the implications for inclusion or recent recommendations on gender mainstreaming to CA Operations doctrine in “Gender, Population Engagement, and Civil Affairs – Army Doctrinal Changes.” Population Engagement, and Civil Affairs.” In addition to the Army Combined Arms Center, women Civil Affairs and State department Leaders will weigh in with their own observations, including: • Ms. Caitlin Conaty, Women, Peace, and Security Advisor, OUSD/Policy; former Africa Specialist, Department of State Bureau for Conflict and Stabilization Operations (State/CSO) • Jody M.
