
LTG Jody Daniels

Lieutenant General Jody J. Daniels recently assumed command as 34th Chief of Army Reserve and 9th Commanding General, U.S. Army Reserve Command – the first woman to lead the Army Reserve. She previously commanded the 88th Readiness Division. During her more than 37 years of active and reserve military service, LTG Daniels has also served as: Chief of Staff, U.S. Forces Command; Assistant Chief of Staff, U.S. Africa Command; Commanding General of the 87th Army Reserve Support Command and Deputy Commanding General, First Army Division East; as well as other leadership positions, including in Korea, Kosovo and Iraq. LTG Daniels completed Civil Affairs deployments to Kosovo and Iraq, where she served as the Chief of Plans and Integration and later Director for Intelligence for the Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq. In her civilian career, she was Director of Advanced Programs for Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Laboratories, and has served on the Defense Advanced Research Programs Agency Information Science & Technology Review Board, the ISAT Steering Committee, and Drexel University's Computer Science Department Advisory Board. Daniels holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) and an M.S. in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
